Annunziata DiSaia

Annunziata DiSaia first appears in the Painesville, Ohio, area, in 1930. In America, Annunziata DiSaia was known as Nancy DiSaia, then afer she married, by her married name, Nancy Colasessano.

Annunziata DiSaia, daughter of Felicantonio DiSaia and Maria Pasqua Zampini, was born on August 28, 1914, at Frosolone, Italy. She married Felice Colasessano, son of Filippo Colasessano and Filomena Pollutro, on June 2, 1934 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Painesville, Lake County, Ohio. Annunziata died on September 15, 1995, at age 81.

Annunziata DiSaia, age 15, immigrated to the United States on March 31, 1930, travelling to Providence, Rhode Island. She immigrated with her father, Felicantonio DiSaia, and her brother, Egidio DiSaia. Her father had previously lived in Painesville, Ohio. I presume Felicantonio and his two children moved to Painesville shortly after immigrating in 1930. Annunziata’s mother and her two younger siblings remained in Italy until 1934.

Shortly after marrying, Annunziata and her husband moved to Fairmont, Marion County, West Virginia.
