Domenica Meo, daughter of Vincenzo Meo and Maria Assunta Mainella, was born on January 22, 1922, at Frosolone, Isernia Province, Molise, Italy.  Domenica married Ariosto Donato Berardinelli about 1950.  She died on January 6, 2017, at TriPoint Medical Center, Concord Township, Lake County, Ohio, at age 94.

Domenica Meo immigrated to the United States on June 8, 1938, at age 16.  She was travelling to Painesville, Lake County, Ohio. Domenica immigrated her mother and siblings.  They were joining the family’s father, Vincenzo Meo, in America.  They arrived in the United States at the Port of New York City aboard the ship SS Rex.

Domenica Meo was enumerated for the 1940 Census of the United States, on April 6, 1940, living at 123 Prospect Street, Painesville, Lake County, Ohio, as a daughter of Vincenzo Meo. Domenica Meo was enumerated as Mamie Meo.

Mrs. Berardinelli’s obituary was published in The News-Herald on Jan. 11, 2017:

Mayme Berardinelli, age 94, a longtime Painesville resident, passed away January 6, 2017, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp. She was born January 22, 1922, in Italy.
Mrs. Berardinelli was longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Painesville, where she was a member of the Pompeii Society at the church. She also enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Dan; daughter, Carmela Berardinelli; sisters, Theresa (Joe) Beno and Helen Hayer; nieces and nephews, Mike, Willie, Denise, Felix, Angelo and Dominic; and brother-in-law, Gildo (Frances) Berardinelli.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Assunta Meo; brother, Felix Meo; niece, Linda; nephew, Ricky; and brother-in-law, Wilbur Hayer.
A funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State St., Painesville, OH 44077. Please meet at church.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.
