Domenica Zampini

Domenica Zampini first appears in the Painesville, Ohio, area in 1904.  In America, Domenica Zampini was known by her married name, Domenica Colavecchio.

Domenica Zampini, daughter of Felice Zampini and Teresa Notte, was born on November 23, 1885, at Frosolone, Italy.  She married Donato Colavecchio, son of Nicola Colavecchio and Vittoria Carderelli, on January 10, 1907, at St. Mary Catholic Church at Painesville, Lake County, Ohio.

Domenica Zampini immigrated to the United States on May 4, 1904, at age 18, travelling to Painesville, Lake County, Ohio. She was travelling with her brother, Egidio Zampini, who was returning to Painesville.

Domenica, her husband, and children moved to Schenectady, New York, sometime in the 1910’s.        

The known children of Domenica Zampini and Donato Colavecchio are as follows:

1.    Maria Victoria Colavecchio was born on November 11, 1907, at Painesville, Lake County, Ohio.

2.   Caterina  Colavecchio was born about November, 1908, at Ohio.
