Epifanio Bonelli

Epifanio first appears in Painesville, Ohio, in 1909.  Though, it is not clear that Epifanio ever lived in Painesville.

Epifanio Bonelli, son of Sabastiano Bonelli and Rosa Giordano, was born about 1889, at Licata, Sicily.

Epifanio Bonelli, age 20, immigrated to the United States on May 25, 1909, travelling to Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He was joining his father, Sabastiano Bonelli, in Cleveland.

In December, 1909, Epifanio father, Sabastiano Bonelli, was killed in Painesville while working for the Lake Shore Railroad.  At the time of his death, Sabastiano was living with “other Italians” in a boarding rail car near the depot in Painesville.  Since Epifanio immigrated to the United States in May, 1909, with his father, it is likely they lived together while working for the railroad.
