Gennaro Antonecchia

Gennaro Antonecchia and his wife, Mariantonia Iannantuono, first appear in the Painesville, Ohio, area in 1918.  Gennaro and Mariantuono may have in Painesville only a couple of years.

Gennaro Antonecchia was born on January 1, 1873, at Casalciprano, Italy.

Gennaro immigrated to the United States in 1905.  He made at least two more trips (in 1910 and 1916) from Italy to the United States.  The ship manifests indicate Gennaro had lived in Ohio, Niagara Falls, New York, and Tarrytown, New York.

Gennaro registered for the military draft for World War One on September 12, 1918, living at 215 Storrs Street, Painesville, Lake County, Ohio. He was employed by the Diamond Alkali Company as a laborer.  His wife, Mariantonia Iannantuono, also lived at that address.

Gennaro Antonecchia was probably related to other Painesville Italians, Manfredo Antonecchia and Pasquale Antonecchia.
