Giovanni Stanziale

Giovanni Stanziale first appears in Painesville, Lake County, Ohio, in 1906.  He was traveling from Ellis Island to join his brother, Nicola Stanziale, in Painesville.

Giovanni Stanziale, son of Emilio Stanziale and Nicoletta Ruberto, was born about 1881, at Sant’Angelo in Grotte, Italy.  Giovanni Stanziale immigrated to the United States on July 5, 1906, travelling to Painesville, Ohio.

I have found no other record mentioning Giovanni Stanziale.  He does not appear in the 1910 Federal Census for Ohio.  He may have returned to Italy.  He may have moved to Columbus, Ohio, in 1907 when his brother Nicola was incarcerated at the Ohio State Penitentiary in Columbus, Ohio.  Giovanni is not mentioned in the obituaries of his brothers, Antonio or Giuseppe Stanziale.

Giovanni Stanziale was one of five Stanziale siblings who lived in Painesville: Nicola Stanziale arrived in Painesville in 1905, Antonio and Giuseppe Stanziale migrated to Painesville in 1926. His sister, Anna Maria arrived in Painesville in 1928.
