Lorenzo Casanova

Lorenzo Casanova first appears in the Painesville, Ohio, area about 1915.  In America, Lorenzo Casanova was known as Lonzo Casanova.

Lorenzo Casanova, son of Biaggio Casanova and Maria Giancola, was born on May 27, 1896, at Aielli, Italy.  He married Giovanna Fontana, daughter of Antonino Fontana and Antonina Riccobono, on December 10, 1918 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Painesville, Lake County, Ohio.  Lorenzo died in September, 1974, at New York at age 78.

Lorenzo Casanova, age 17, immigrated to the United States on July 14, 1913. 

Lorenzo Casanova registered for the World War I Draft on June 5, 1917.  He was living at 221 Storrs Street, Painesville, Lake County, Ohio.  He was single and was employed by the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad.

Lorenzo Casanova became a citizen of the United States on June 6, 1924. Lorenzo resided at 108 Railroad Street, Painesville, Lake County, Ohio, when he was naturalized.

Mr. Casanova was still living in Painesville in 1927.
