Michele Notte

Michele Notte first appears in the Painesville, Ohio, area in 1903.  In America, Michele Notte was known as Michael Notte.

Michele Notte, son of Domenico Antonio Notte and Maria Teresa Fazioli, was born on May 7, 1866, at Frosolone, Italy.  He married Maria Teresa DiIorio, daughter of Vincenzo DiIorio and Palma Rosa Ciampittiello, on October 6, 1892.  Michele died on June 1, 1943, at his home on Fairport-Nursery Road, Painesville Township, Lake County, Ohio, at age 77.  His body was interred at St. Mary Cemetery at Painesville Township, Lake County, Ohio.

Michele Notte immigrated to the United States on September 23, 1903, at age 37.  He was travelling to Painesville, Lake County, Ohio, to join his cousin, Orazio Notte.  Michele’s wife, Teresa DiIorio, and daughter, Domenica Notte, joined him in Painesville in 1907.

Mr. Notte retired from the Storrs and Harrrison Nursery in 1933.

1.   Domenica Notte was born on February 23, 1903, at Frosolone, Italy. She married Domenico Venditti, son of Giovanni Venditti and Lucia Bertone, on November 13, 1917 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Painesville, Lake County, Ohio. Domenica died on April 16, 1977, at Lake County Memorial Hospital, Painesville, Lake County, Ohio, at age 74. Her body was interred at St. Mary Cemetery at Painesville Township, Lake County, Ohio.
