Pasquale DiCarlo

Pasquale DiCarlo first appears in the Painesville, Ohio, area in the 1940’s.

Pasquale DiCarlo was born on October 18, 1900, at Frosolone, Italy.  He married Virginia Mainella, daughter of Filippo Mainella and Rosa Pacicicco, before 1923.  Pasquale died on January 14, 1979, at age 78.  His body was interred at Riverside Cemetery at Painesville, Lake County, Ohio.

Pasquale DiCarlo first immigrated to the United States on November 12, 1923, at age 23, travelling to Troy, New York.  He was joining his brother, Francesco DiCarlo, in Troy.  Pasquale made at least three more “trips” to the United States (in 1927, 1931, and 1938).  Pasquale DiCarlo became a citizen of the United States on September 28, 1934. Pasquale resided at Troy, New York, when he was naturalized.

Mr. DiCarlo’s wife, Viginia Mainella, and children (Filippo and Maria Grazia) joined him in Painesville, Ohio, in 1947.

The children of Pasquale DiCarlo and Virginia Mainella are as follows:

1.    Rocco DiCarlo was born on February 7, 1927, at Frosolone, Italy.

2.   Filippo DiCarlo was born about 1931, at Frosolone, Italy.  He immigrated to the United States on October 28, 1947, travelling to Painesville, Lake County, Ohio.

3.   Maria Grazia DiCarlo was born on November 9, 1938, at Frosolone, Italy.  She immigrated to the United States on October 28, 1947, travelling to Painesville, Lake County, Ohio.  She married Angelo Falcone.

4.    Anna DiCarlo Chestnut.
