Salvatore Inchiostro

Salvatore Inchiostro first appears in the Painesville, Ohio, area in 1913 or 1914, when the Inchiostro family moved from Pennsylvania.  In America, Salvatore Inchiostro was known as Sam Inchiostro.

Salvatore Inchiostro, son of Gaetano Inchiostro and Concetta Barbera, was born on August 25, 1910, at Caltagirone, Sicily.  Salvatore died on March 1, 2000, at Michigan at age 89.

Salvatore Inchiostro, age 2, probably immigrated to the United States in 1912, travelling to McKeesport, Pennsylvania, with his mother and sister, Maria.  They were joining his father, Gaetano Inchiostro.  Salvatore moved to Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan in the late 1920’s or early 1903’s.  In the 1940 Federal Census, Salvatore was living with his brother, Gioacchino, and his family in Detroit.
