Salvatore Pace

Salvatore Pace first appears in the Painesville, Ohio, area in 1915.  He migrated to Painesville from Buffalo, New York.  In America, Salvatore Pace was known as Sam Pace.

Salvatore Pace, son of Filippo Pace and Angela DiGati, was born on December 16, 1899, at Montemaggiore Belsito, Sicily.  He married Giovanna Profeta, daughter of Salvatore Profeta and Rosa Barbera, on Thursday November 25, 1926, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Painesville, Lake County, Ohio.  Salvatore died on July 18, 1963, at his home, Montebello, California, at age 63.

Salvatore Pace, age 12, immigrated to the United States on November 7, 1912, travelling to Buffalo, Erie County, New York, He was traveling with his mother, Angela DiGati, and siblings, Epifania Pace and Pasquale Pace.  Salvatore became a citizen of the United States on February 3, 1944.  He resided at 345 North State Street, Painesville, Lake County, Ohio, when he was naturalized.  He moved to California in the 1950’s.  Salvatore was a barber.

The children of Salvatore Pace and Giovanna Profeta were as follows:

1.   Rosemary Pace.  She married Frank Eckenrode.

2.   Sam Pace.

3.   Angeline M. Pace was born on August 29, 1927, at Painesville, Lake County, Ohio.  She married Robert F. Rego on June 25, 1945.  Angeline died on December 13, 1973, at Lake County Memorial County, Painesville, Lake County, Ohio, at age 46.  Her body was interred at Riverside at Painesville, Lake County, Ohio.

4.   Phillip Pace was born on September 14, 1936.

5.   Barbara Pace was born on September 3, 1937.  She married Sam Alessi.
