Giacomo Catalano

Giacomo Catalano first appears in the Painesville, Ohio, area in January, 1901.

Giacomo Catalano was born on October 16, 1878, at Montemaggiore Belsito, Sicily.  He immigrated to the United States on December 29, 1900, at age 22.  He was travelling Painesville, Ohio, to join his brother, Liborio Catalano.  Giacomo returned to Sicily in 1905.  He re-entered the United States on April 19, 1906.  He was travelling with his sister, Fara Catalano, to 627 State Street, Painesville, Lake County, Ohio.  They were joining their brother, Liborio Catalano.  Giacomo’s sister, Rosa Catalano Ciccarello immigrated to Painesville in 1902.

Giacomo Catalano became a citizen of the United States in July, 1910.  Giacomo resided at 127 North State Street, Painesville, Lake County, Ohio, when he was naturalized.
