Giuseppe Seggio

Giuseppe Seggio first appears in the Painesville, Ohio, area in 1914.  Giuseppe’s father, Salvatore Seggio moved his family to Painesville in 1914.  In America, Giuseppe Seggio was known as Joseph Seggio.

Giuseppe Seggio, son of Salvatore Seggio and Carmella Barbera, was born on May 21, 1904, at Palermo, Sicily.  He married Marie Fiorello about 1933.  Giuseppe died on June 22, 1994, at Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield Heights, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, at age 90.

Giuseppe Seggio, age 9, immigrated to the United States on November 17, 1913, travelling to McKeesport, Pennsylvania, joining his father, Salvatore Seggio.  He was travelling with his mother and three siblings. 

Giuseppe was living in Painesville for the 1930 Federal Census.  He appears in the 1940 Federal Census as living in Cleveland, Ohio.  After marriage, Joseph and his wife raised a family in Cleveland.
