He married Palma DiCristofaro, daughter of Nicola DiCristofaro and Maria Palangio, on January 12, 1893 at Frosolone, Italy. Bartolomeo died on November 22, 1950, at North Ridge Road at Painesville Township, Lake County, Ohio, at age 82, of a coronary thrombosis. His body was interred at Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery at Painesville Township, Lake County, Ohio.
Bartolomeo Colavecchio, age 25, immigrated to the United States on March 16, 1894. Bartolomeo entered the United States at the Port of New York City aboard the ship SS Kronprinz Frederick Wilhelm. He was traveling with his brothers-in-law Nicandro Cardegna and Cosmo Cardegna. He probably migrated to Painesville, Ohio, shortly after he immigrated to the United States. Mr. Colavecchio’s first son, Michele, was born on March 7, 1894 – Bartolomeo must have left Frosolone immediately after the child’s birth to arrive at New York City on March 16, 1894.
Mr. Colavecchio’s wife, Palma DiCristofaro, and son, Michele Colavecchio, immigrated to the United States in 1897. They joined him in Painesville, Ohio.
Bartolomeo Coloveccio became a citizen of the United States on March 7, 1899. He resided at Lake County, Ohio, when he was naturalized.

Michele died on May 10, 1976, at Lake County Memorial Hospital, Painesville, Lake County, Ohio, at age 82. His body was interred at Riverside Cemetery at Painesville, Lake County, Ohio.
2. Nicola Colavecchio was born on December 13, 1897, at Lake County, Ohio. He died the same day. His body was interred at St. Mary Cemetery at Painesville Township, Lake County, Ohio.
3. Lucia Colavecchio was born on December 13, 1897, at Lake County, Ohio. She died the same day. Her body was interred at St. Mary Cemetery at Painesville Township, Lake County, Ohio.
4. Louis Colavecchio was born on October 18, 1898, at Painesville, Lake County, Ohio. Louis died on May 20, 1982 at age 83. His body was interred at St. Mary Cemetery at Painesville Township, Lake County, Ohio.
5. Vincent Colavecchio was born on May 10, 1900, at Painesville, Lake County, Ohio. He married Verna Wainio. Vincent died on April 8, 1986, at age 85.

In 1919, Nick Colavechhio was the first Italian-American boy to graduate from Painesville High School.
7. Domonic Colavecchio was born about 1904. Domonic died on May 18, 1976.
8. John F. Colavecchio was born on May 23, 1906, at Painesville, Lake County, Ohio. He married Betha M. Stange, daughter of Fred Stange and Flora Fifield. John F. died on August 27, 1983, at age 77. John was the second Italian-American boy to graduate from high school (in 1923).
9. Rose Colavecchio was born on June 19, 1908, at Painesville, Lake County, Ohio. Rose died on March 18, 1996 at Homestead II Nursing Home at Painesville, Lake County, Ohio, at age 87. Her body was interred at Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery at Painesville Township, Lake County, Ohio.
